The importance of ballast doesn´t lie on its weight, but on its dispensability. The difficulty comesin realizing that we can let go of it without losing ourselves, facing the fear of discovering that we ourselves are the burden we carry. The weight keeps us grounded... but prevents us from gainining altitude. Unfortunately it´s not easy to let go of ballast because its sands are the result of the years of mixing and growing, like personal treasures. We need the ballasts to anchor us to the world as much as we need a personal conviction in the importance of the paht. To stop moving is to die. We let go of ballast in order to stay alive, to continue moving upword...         Pin. Porcelain, silver. 10 x11 cm. 2006.   Pin. Porcelain, silver. 7 x 7 cm. 2006.   Brooch.
